A Manchester-based firm’s Finance Director has been nominated for a prestigious regional award for his outstanding work that has contributed to the local economy and employment in the North West.
Nominated for ‘Finance Director of the Year’ in the category of less than £50m turnover, Finance Director Charlie Batho celebrated his achievements at the awards ceremony alongside the North West’s finance community. The awards ceremony recognised the outstanding local businesses that have all excelled within the field of finance.
Criteria for the Finance Director of the Year award nomination included a demonstrable legacy of delivery in financial performance, leadership and management. Within the Evans Group of Companies which includes leading window hardware and soft furnishing business Evans Textiles, home furnishing brand Portfolio Home and manufacturing business William Clark & Sons, Charlie has consistently delivered strategic direction which has positively impacted both their team and company.
Commenting on his award nomination, Charlie Batho stated: “It’s a honour to be recognised and to be nominated for this award.” Charlie added: “The last couple of years have seen unprecedented challenges and changes within our industry and having the ability to lead through this change has been key in supporting the Evans Group whilst ensuring we prosper and grow despite periods of economic uncertainty.”
